Cheesy Potatoes
Do you have a good recipe for cheesy potatoes? They could be mashed or maybe using frozen hash browns?
- Gloria
Hi Gloria,
Oh my, do I have cheesy potatoes! You’re going to want to first check out my Confetti Scalloped Potatoes, a Cheddar-y dish that uses frozen hashed brown potatoes.
But wait! I’ve got plenty more cheesy potatoes! Sesame Mashed Potatoes are mashed spuds with plenty of cheese; Classic Potatoes au Gratin, with both Swiss and Cheddar, is one of my most popular recipes; Potatoes Romanoff has both cottage cheese and Cheddar Cheese. Au Gratin Potatoes uses American cheese; even Potatoes Florentine has a good amount of Jack cheese, along with the spinach. And finally, Delmonico Potatoes has 2 cups of grated Cheddar. Enjoy your cheesy spuds!

Question
How do you make old-timey rolled dumplings? My mother-in-law made the best; she had a special bowl she mixed them up in (never really measuring), she knew where in the bowl to add the flour, etc., then she rolled them out thin on a brown grocery bag and let dry for a while, then dropped them in the hot broth. They were delicious!!!!!!

QuestionHi Gramma Betty - My ginger cookies tend to get harder overnight, and I'm still experimenting to try to get a softer cookie. What do you think I could do to give more softness? But what I was originally going to ask was if you had a good recipe for either ginger cookies, or gingersnap cookies? Thanks for your help! I love your recipes! --Your Adopted Granddaughter JoAnn :)March 2012
