Corned Beef in the Microwave

Can you cook corned beef in the microwave? If so, please tell me how. --Woody
Hi Woody, I do not recommend cooking corned beef in the microwave. This is because the microwave is best for quick-cooking food, or reheating already-cooked food. Corned beef, which is usually bought as a large (3- to 5-pound) piece of meat, normally needs at least 2 hours on the stovetop or in the oven, which doesn’t translate well to microwave cooking. However, if you want corned beef in a hurry, you can buy “fully-cooked” or “ready-to-eat” corned beef in most supermarkets around this time of year. This kind of corned beef can be quickly and easily heated up in the microwave.  Hope this helps with your St. Patrick's Day celebrating!

Hello Grandma! Years ago, I received your recipe cards and amongst them was a delicious Rice Krispie/ice cream pie. It was a huge hit in my home. Sadly I have misplaced the recipe and have not had any success finding it on your website. Is there any way you still have it available? My family and I would love to have this gorgeous dessert on our Thanksgiving table again. Please help! Thanks. --Tiffany Dugger
