Meat Pies
Do you think you could possibly add meat pies to the recipes?
--Karlyne
Hi Karlyne,
I have a number of meat pie recipes I think you might want to try:
Warming Shepherd’s Pie is a mix of ground beef and veggies topped with a mashed potato crust.
Biscuit-Topped Steak Pie has a beef stew-type filling and flaky biscuit topping.
Beef & Pork Pie uses cubes of beef chuck and round pork, plus olives, for a savory filling.
Beef Tamale Pie has a taco-flavored filling and cornmeal crust.
Festive Taco Potpie has a ground beef, bean, corn and Cheddar filling under a crust made with breadstick dough.
Bayou-Style Potpie stars smoked sausage, chicken, and green peppers for a Louisiana-inspired savory pie.
I'm sure you'll find a meat pie here that you'll love!

QuestionMy sister was born in the early 1950's, she said my mother used to make a white "chocolate chip bar." The bars were white but had real chocolate chips in them. I've been trying to find a recipe like this. My mother didn't have a written recipe for it, but knew what she was talking about, she asked me if I recalled them and I didn't. I was wondering if you have a recipe and where I could find it.

Question
Dear Betty,
Could you find me a good, low-fat zucchini bread recipe that will work at Mile High altitude? We cut back to one plant this year but we've still got so much zucchini that I fear my granite counter tops will cave under the weight. (P.S. Love that white hair!)
