QuestionI was wondering if you could add the thumbprint cookies recipe to the site. I had it in my recipe box but it seems to have gone missing, the good recipes always do. I made them 2 years ago as Christmas presents for the homeless and would really like to make them for my kids this year. I remember the filling being preserves and they were so good. Thanks so much! --Jamie Hi Betty. I had a box of your recipes that my mother gave me when I married. Unfortunately, I lost one of my favorites: the thumbprint cookies. It was a sugar cookie with preserves in center. Can you please post that one or send it? Thank you. --KristinaMarch 2012

Question
I live at 8000+ foot elevation, and have always loved to bake cookies from scratch. Is there "a rule of thumb" for alterations in baking soda, baking powder, yeast, etc., that I need to know in order to bake something else besides a flat, flat cookies, cake or breads? Thank you.

QuestionI have a problem and am hoping you can help me. I love recipes that have you put biscuits on top, like creamed chicken and biscuits. However the problem I have is that when you put them on top to bake, the underside of the biscuit never gets cooked. It's always still doughy and runny at times. How do I correct this to be able to bake them on top? Thank you for any help you can give :-) --LauraMarch 2012
