Grandma often called these "the lazy woman's dumplings." Made with store-bought tortillas instead of pastry dough, they taste like dumplings but are so much easier!
Freshly made calzones with piping hot filling are a welcome change from frozen or delivery pizza.
Friday night was always pizza night at Grandma's house. Pre-cooking the crust on the stovetop gives this pizza a crisp but chewy texture.
Grandma would serve these to the kids with the dipping sauce and to the adults over pasta with tomato sauce!
When Grandma served this spicy Italian-style turnover we'd exclaim, “Mama mia, that’s some Stromboli!”
To make a nicely toasted and pressed panini sandwich, Grandma would place a brick wrapped in foil on top of the sandwich on the grill. 
Finger food is always a hit. Make these crunchy, spicy tenders for a fun entrée, or double the batch for great party fare.
