Grandma loved the vinegary tang the pickled cherry peppers added to this pizza.
The best-textured, though most expensive, sauerkraut comes in glass jars from the refrigerated section of the grocery store. To save money, try the less expensive canned sauerkraut.
Be thrifty and make your own bread dough. Mix 1 package fast-rising yeast, 11/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 2/3 cup hot water and 1 tablespoon oil in a bowl. Knead for 5 minutes, then let stand for 10 minutes.
Homemade tartar sauce can be a cost-saver. Just mix 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon minced onion, 1 teaspoon each minced dill pickle, minced olives and sweet relish and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice.
Play up the Mexican theme and stretch your grocery dollars, too: purchase a package of small flour tortillas to use instead of the prepared pizza crusts. Then make up to 10 individual pizzas with 10 tortillas.
Save the marinade from the jar of artichokes and use it as a substitute for the olive oil that is mixed with the garlic in step 3. The artichoke marinade is also flavorful on a variety of grilled or broiled meats.
Eggplant Parmesan is one of my favorite meals. When Grandma it on a sandwich it was even better!
A bunch of broccoli can go a long way. Steam or sauté the florets for a side dish at dinner. Then peel the broccoli stems and chop or slice into rounds to cook for these wholesome wraps.
You can save money and calories and still serve a sensational pizza. Simply eliminate the mozzarella cheese and chicken add some extra chopped green onions and sautéed veggies for a meatless Asian pizza.
Canned cooked shrimp will save preparation time and money over fresh or frozen in this sandwich. Rinse shrimp and sprinkle with a teaspoon of lemon juice to eliminate the canned flavor.

For lunch the next day, we enjoyed sandwiches made with the leftovers of this pork loin.
