Grilled Garlic Steak
Prep time:
10 minutesCooking time:
15 minutes“Flank steak can be a less expensive alternative to sirloin. For a more tender result, marinate the flank steak in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours before grilling it.”
Ingredients
Serves 4
- 4 (1 1/2-inch) sirloin steaks
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- Hot pepper sauce
Directions
1
Trim excess fat from steaks. Score remaining fat from outer edge to, but not into, the meat.
2
Mix soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, sugar, ginger and hot sauce to taste in shallow dish. Add steak, turning to coat.
3
Marinate steak, covered, in refrigerator, turning occasionally. Drain and discard marinade. Preheat grill.
4
Grill steaks 4 inches above hot coals or broil 6 inches from heat source for 7 minutes. Turn steaks over. Grill or broil for 5 minutes longer or until done to taste.
