Ingredients

Serves 6 

  • 3 pounds sirloin steak
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Directions
  1. 1

    Cut steak into 6 portions. Pound until slightly flattened and tender. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add steak. Cook, turning once, until steak is browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.

    Add onion, tomato, garlic and parsley to skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, until onion is golden brown, about 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook until steak is tender, about 10 minutes longer.
