Turkey and Biscuit Bake
Prep time:
15 minutesCooking time:
15 minutes“For the most economical turkey bake, use leftover cooked poultry. Otherwise, the thriftiest plan is to make homemade stock by boiling a hen, use 2 cups, then use the extra meat and broth for other meals.”
Ingredients
Serves 6
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups chopped cooked turkey
- 2 (10-ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups peas
- 1 (10-count) can biscuits
Directions
1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and turkey. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender, about 10 minutes.
2
Add soup and milk to skillet. Stir well.
3
Add peas to skillet. Stir well. Cook for 1 minute. Pour mixture into a medium baking dish.
4
Separate biscuits into halves. Arrange biscuit halves over turkey mixture. Bake until biscuits are golden, about 15 minutes.

For fewer leftover biscuit halves, purchase an 8-count can of large, flaky-type biscuits. Make and freeze the extra biscuits.
