Orange & White Chocolate Dreams

10 minutes“When preparing these cookies, use an equal amount of butter and margarine. This combination will give the cookies a buttery taste and a sturdy texture. As a bonus, it will save a little money, too.”
Ingredients
Serves 50
- 2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated orange peel
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer set at medium speed until smooth, about 1 minute.

Add egg and orange peel; mix well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture; mix well.

Add white chocolate chips to bowl; stir. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto 3 ungreased baking sheets.

Bake cookies until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Cool for 2 minutes on baking sheets; remove to wire rack to cool completely.
