Peach-Brickle Crunch

50 minutes“Retain all the flavor of this rich and moist treat and save a few pennies by using a generic or store-brand cake mix. Any yellow or white cake mix will bake into a deliciously satisfying dessert.”
Ingredients
Serves 15
- 3 (16-ounce) cans sliced peaches in syrup
- 1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons brickle bits or crushed toffee pieces, divided
- 1 package butter brickle cake mix
- 1 stick butter or margarine, melted
- 1 chocolate-covered toffee candy bar, frozen
- 1/2 gallon peach ice cream

Preheat oven to 350°F. Pour undrained peaches into a medium baking pan.

Combine 1/3 cup brickle bits and cake mix in a medium bowl. Spoon over peaches. Drizzle butter over cake mix mixture.

Break candy bar into small pieces. Sprinkle over cake mix mixture.

Bake until set, about 50 minutes. Spoon into dessert dishes. Top with ice cream; sprinkle with remaining brickle bits. Serve hot or at room temperature.

Melting butter in the microwave is fast and easy. One stick will melt in approximately 11/2 minutes on HIGH. Be sure to place the butter in a bowl and cover with waxed paper to protect against splattering.
