Ingredients

Serves 6

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon corn oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 20 cubes)
  • 1 small pineapple, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 20 cubes)
Directions
  1. 1

Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, garlic and corn oil in a large bowl and mix well.

  2. 2

Add the beef and pineapple to the soy sauce mixture and mix well; cover. Chill, stirring two times, for 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Preheat the grill to medium.

  4. 4

Drain the beef and pineapple, reserving marinade. Thread the beef and pineapple alternately onto wooden skewers.

  5. 5

Grill the kebabs 4 inches from the heat, turning them frequently and basting with reserved marinade, until beef is browned, about 5 to 10 minutes.

Grandma's Secret Tip

Grandma's Secret Tip
