Grilled Sausage Pizza

10-12 minutes“Who needs a pizza oven? Make hot, crusty pizza right on your own grill, with lots of sausage and crisp green peppers.”
Ingredients
Serves 6
- 1 prebaked pizza crust (12-inch)
- 1/2 cup basil pesto
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 8 ounces cooked Italian sausage links, cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 2 plum tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1 small green bell pepper, deseeded and cut into thin strips

Preheat grill to low heat. Brush the top of the crust with the pesto. Top with the pizza sauce. Sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella.

Arrange the sausage slices, tomato slices and bell pepper strips over the cheese. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

Place the pizza on the grill. Cover and grill until the cheese is melted and the crust is crisp, 10–12 minutes. Serve.

If the pizza crust browns too quickly, place a piece of aluminum foil between the crust and the grill.
