Grilled Steak with Garlic Butter
Prep time:
20 minutesgrill time:
8 minutes“Grandma knows how to make grilled steak even more special: garlic butter. And it's so easy to make! It's great on grilled salmon, too. ”
Ingredients
Serves 12
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 pounds sirloin steak (about 1 1/2-inches thick)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
1
In a small bowl, mash the butter, garlic, parsley, lemon zest and 1/2 teaspoon of the salt with a fork. Roll up in plastic wrap to make a small log. Refrigerate until slightly firm or up to 1 week.
2
Prepare the grill. Grill the steak 5 to 6 inches from the heat, about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
3
Slice the steak about 1/2-inch thick. Season with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and the pepper. Slice the butter log crosswise into rounds and use to top the steak slices.
