Horseradish-crusted Steaks

Horseradish lovers, this steak’s for you! A rich coating of sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk and zesty horseradish adds incredible flavor.

Horseradish lovers, this steak’s for you! A rich coating of sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk and zesty horseradish adds incredible flavor.

Ingredients

Serves 4 

  • 1 cup chopped onion (about 1 large)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp. prepared horseradish
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. coarse salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 4 boneless strip steaks (about 8 oz. each)
Directions

    Combine the onion, sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well.

    Add the steaks to thebowl. Turn to coatwith the marinade.Cover and marinate inthe refrigerator, turningoccasionally, for 4 hours.

    Preheat broiler to high heat. Remove the steaks from the marinade. Discard the marinade. Place the steaks on the broiler pan. Broiluntil medium doneness,5–7 minutes on each side. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
