10 minutesCook time :
25 minutes“Pork chops are irresistible when served with a sweet and savory glaze made with crispy bacon bits, onion and maple syrup.”
Ingredients
Serves 4
- 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 pound)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped thick-cut bacon (about 3 strips)
- 1/4 cup minced onion (about 1 small)
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
Directions
1
Sprinkle the pork chops with the garlic powder, salt and pepper. Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the butter is melted, about 30 seconds. Add the pork chops. Cook until browned on both sides, about 8 minutes longer. Transfer the pork chops to a platter.
2
Add the bacon and onion to the skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, until the bacon is the desired crispness, about 4 minutes.
3
Add the maple syrup and vinegar to the skillet. Cook until the liquid is bubbly, 3–4 minutes. Add the browned pork chops. Reduce heat to medium. Cook until the pork chops are cooked through, about 8 minutes longer. Serve the pork chops with the maple syrup glaze.
