10 mins.Cook time:
13 minutes“Mushrooms and garlic are simmered in an herbed gravy in this down-home classic. ”
Ingredients
Serves 4
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 bone-in loin pork chops (about 6 ounces each)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) sliced button mushrooms
- 1 package (1.25-ounce) mushroom and herb gravy mix
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Directions
1

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with the salt and pepper. Cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, 6–8 minutes. Remove to a plate and cover to keep warm.
2
Cook the garlic in the same skillet until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until softened, 6–8 minutes.
3
Combine the gravy mix and 1 cup water in a large measuring cup. Pour over the mushrooms and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook about 1 minute longer.
4
Turn off heat. Stir in the sour cream and parsley. Immediately spoon the sauce over the pork chops and serve.
