This is one recipe of Grandma’s I use over and over because it is so easy.
Grandma's Secret Trick
Being an experimenter, Grandma liked this dish. She sometimes substituted cooked, drained ground beef or chopped pepperoni for the sausage. Sometimes she used a red bell pepper instead of the green bell pepper and left out the pimiento. Sometimes she used a combination of mozzarella and Cheddar cheeses in place of the Colby and Monterey Jack.
This old family recipe has a new life in my kitchen since my college-age son adopted a vegetarian diet.
Buttery and chewy, these noodles were such a treat, I could eat them every day.
Grandma saved time by assembling the pasta shells the night before she baked them.
