Grandma's Secret Trick

Grandma's Secret Trick

Since pecans were plentiful in Grandma's region, she often used them in place of the walnuts. She liked the flavor of toasted pecans with the toffee layer, so she toasted the pecans in a skillet over medium heat before cooling and chopping them.
