Ingredients

Serves 28

  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips, divided
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons biscuit mix
  • 1 large egg
Directions
  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Line the mini-muffin tins with paper liners or grease muffin tins generously.

  2. 2

Combine 1/2 cup chocolate chips and the butter in a large saucepan. Cook the mixture over low heat, stirring continually, until chocolate chips are melted. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

Add the sweetened condensed milk to the chocolate mixture and stir until blended. Stir in the biscuit mix, egg and remaining chocolate chips.

  4. 4

Fill muffin cups three-fourths full with batter.

  5. 5

Bake just until the centers are set, about 10 to 12 minutes. Do not overbake; brownies should be soft.

Grandma's Secret Tip

Grandma's Secret Tip

Grandma said that the muffin cups give these soft, fudgy brownies a formal shape that make them a good choice for decorating and then serving at coffee or tea gatherings. To decorate, she combined 1 cup confectioners' sugar with 1 tablespoon milk, then spread a little on each brownie and topped it with colored sugar or chocolate sprinkles.
