Grandma would double the recipe for these delicious biscuits so that we could have some for breakfast and some with dinner.

Ingredients

Serves 12 

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
Directions
  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl; mix well.

    Add sour cream and butter; stir until well mixed. Turn onto lightly floured surface. Knead lightly 10 times.

    Pat out 3/4-inch thick; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter or a lightly floured drinking glass.

    Arrange biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
