Old-Fashioned Breads
Prep time:

baking time:
10 to 12 minutes

These scones were one of the first things I learned to bake. They’re simple to mix, and the dough requires no rolling.

Grandma's Secret Trick

Grandma's Secret Trick

When making scones, Grandma sometimes measured the dough for each scone by using a one-quarter cup measure and filling it just over half full. She used a spoon to scoop the dough out of the cup and onto the baking sheet.
