Little Pear Crescent Pies
Prep time:
15 minutesCooking time:
30 minutes“Puff pastry sheets are much less expensive than refrigerated crescent rolls and will produce the same appetizing little pies. Look for these pastry sheets in the frozen food section of the grocery store.”

Serves 8
- 1 pear, peeled
- 1 (8-count) can crescent rolls
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup orange juice
Directions
1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut pear into 8 slices. Separate crescent rolls.

3
Combine butter, sugar and orange juice in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil, stirring frequently, until sugar is melted, about 1 minute.
4
Pour sugar mixture over pies. Bake until browned, about 30 minutes.

Creamy Crab Over Puff Pastry
Because of the labor required to clean and pick crabmeat, it can be expensive. The least expensive is frozen claw meat. For a real money saver, try using popcorn or salad shrimp.
