Streusel-Sour Cream Apple Pie

Ingredients
Serves 6
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 cups peeled and diced tart apples
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked piecrust
- TOPPING:
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine egg, sour cream and vanilla in a large bowl; mix with a fork. Add sugar, salt and flour. Stir well.

Add apples to bowl. Stir well. Pour mixture into piecrust. Bake until set, about 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, make the topping: Combine brown sugar and flour in a medium bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Sprinkle topping over hot pie. Bake until topping is browned, about 20 minutes longer.
