Glazed Chicken Strips

Ingredients
Serves 2
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- 10 to 15 chicken-breast tenderloins (about 1 1/2 pounds)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey

Preheat the oven to 400F.

Combine flour, garlic salt, paprika, seasoned salt and dill in a resealable plastic bag and shake to mix well. Add chicken and shake to coat.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken in hot oil until browned, about 2 minutes per side. Arrange chicken in a 13x9-inch baking dish.

Combine barbecue sauce and honey in a small bowl and mix we

Spoon barbecue sauce mixture evenly over the chicken. Bake until an instant-read thermometer inserted in meat registers 180F, about 5 to 7 minutes.

Variation: Bake without the barbecue sauce. Serve with honey mustard sauce, ranch dressing or barbecue sauce.

Grandma's Secret Trick
The big skillet in Grandma's kitchen was 12 inches wide, so she could cook all the chicken strips at one time. If that skillet was in use, she used her smaller skillet and cooked it in two batches. She added a little more vegetable oil to the skillet between batches if needed.
