Ham With Cranberry Sauce

15 minutes“Ham steaks are handy for making dinner in a hurry. Fresh cranberries, orange juice and mustardcreate the perfect sauce.”
Ingredients
Serves 4
- 1 slice (1 lb.) center-cut ham
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup orange juice
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tbsp. grated orange zest (optional)
- 2 tsp. Dijon-style mustard

Preheat a large grill pan to medium heat. Cook the ham until heated through, about 15 minutes. Keep warm.

Meanwhile, combine the cranberries, sugar and orange juice in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring often, until the cranberries burst, about 5 minutes.

Combine the cornstarch and 1 tbsp. water in a small bowl. Mix well. Stir into the cranberry mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until thick and clear, about 2 minutes. Stir in the orange zest, if desired, and the mustard. Serve the ham with the sauce.
