Steak And Potato Kebabs

Ingredients
Serves 4
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. chopped fresh sage leaves or 1 tsp. dried sage
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. boneless top sirloin steak, cut into 11/2-inch cubes
- 1 lb. scrubbed baby potatoes, cut into11/2-inch pieces
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Combine the lemon juice, oil, sage and salt in a shallow glass dish. Add the steak and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours to marinate.

Place the potatoes in a 4-quart saucepan and add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer until the potatoes are slightly tender when pierced with a fork, 20–25 minutes. Drain.

Preheat grill to medium heat. Remove the steak from the marinade. Set the marinade aside. Alternately thread the steak and potatoes on each of 4 skewers, ending with the steak. Sprinkle the kebabs with the pepper.

Grill the kebabs, brushing frequently with the marinade, until the steak is cooked to medium doneness and the potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes. Serve.
