Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 1 (6.5-ounce) package pizza crust mix
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil, divided
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar or cider vinegar
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Directions
  1. 1

Preheat oven to 450°F. Prepare pizza crust mix according to package directions. Press dough into a 13- to 15-inch round pizza pan or a jelly-roll pan.

  2. 2

Combine garlic, pepper flakes, soy sauce, honey and vinegar in skillet. Cook, stirring, until liquid is syrupy, about 5 minutes. Add chicken; stir until glazed. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

Cut chicken into bite-size pieces. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken. Cook, stirring, until cooked through, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet.

  4. 4

Brush pizza dough with remaining oil. Spread mozzarella, then chicken over dough. Sprinkle with green onions. Bake until crust is golden, about 15 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

If you use a pizza stone and cook this pizza at 500 degrees, it will only take 8 to 10 minutes to cook.

Great Pairings

Poppy Seed Dressing with Salad Greens

Olive oil has a lot of flavor, especially extra virgin but at a price. Canola, peanut or plain vegetable oil makes a lighter and tasty base for this salad dressing, and will cost a fraction of what olive oil costs.
