Ingredients

Serves 40

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 cup minced cooked chicken
  • 1/3 cup minced celery
  • 1 (2-ounce) jar chopped pimiento, drained
  • 2 (8-count) cans crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Directions
  1. 1

Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a baking sheet. Combine cream cheese, lemon juice, Italian seasoning and onion salt in a large bowl; beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Stir in chicken, celery and pimiento.

  2. 2

Separate dough into 8 rectangles. Press perforations to seal. Spread chicken mixture over dough rectangles, leaving 1/2-inch border.

  3. 3

Roll each rectangle from long side to enclose filling. Press edges to seal. Brush roll with egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Dried herbs are best if used within 3 months of purchase. To keep track, mark the purchase date on a small piece of masking tape and attach it to the bottom of the jar or can.

Great Pairings

Easy Fried Mozzarella

Firm cheeses work best for this convenient appetizer. Use whatever cheese you have on hand, for the least expensive option, such as Cheddar, which usually costs less than mozzarella.
