Pull-apart Pizza Snacks

Ingredients
Serves 12
- 1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion (about 1 medium)
- 1/3 cup finely chopped green bell pepper (about 1 small)
- 2 cups pizza sauce
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- 2 cans (12 oz. each) refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into fourths
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 12-cup fluted tube pan.

Cook the sausage, onion and bell pepper in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the sausage is cooked through, 6–8 minutes. Drain.

Stir the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes and 2 tbsp. Parmesan into the skillet. Bring to a full boil. Spoon half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.

Immediately top with half the dough pieces.

Spoon the remaining sauce mixture over the dough in the pan. Top with the mozzarella and remaining dough pieces.

Bake until browned, 30–35 minutes. Immediately invert onto a platter. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan before serving.
