For a classic Thanksgiving treat, serve this sweet potato dish, topped with miniature marshmallows and baked to golden perfection.

For a classic Thanksgiving treat, serve this sweet potato dish, topped with miniature marshmallows and baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Serves 6 

  • 1 can (40 oz.) sweet potatoes, drained
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tbsp. half-and-half
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
Directions

    Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a large ovenproof baking dish.

    Combine the sweet potatoes, brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, half-and-half, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer set on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

    Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes.

    Sprinkle the marshmallows evenly over the sweet potato mixture. Bake until the mixture is heated through and the marshmallows are golden brown, about 5 minutes longer. Serve hot.
