Cheese & Garlic Bagel Chips

Ingredients
Serves 6
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic (about 2 cloves)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 3 pumpernickel and/or plain bagels
- 1⁄4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 400°F. Generously grease two15- x 10- x 1-inch jelly-roll pans. Combine olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic and salt in a small bowl; mix well.

Cut each bagel into 1⁄4-inch-thick slices.

Place bagel slices in a single layer in prepared pans. Brush oil mixture over each slice and sprinkle with Parmesan.

Bake slices until lightly golden, 10–12 minutes. Cool completely in pans on wire racks.

This recipe is an ideal way to use up day-old bagels. Just freeze bagels in airtight freezer bags and remove from the freezer the day of the party. For speedy preparation, cut the bagels into slices before you freeze them.
