Grandma's Secret Trick

Grandma's Secret Trick

Grandma's simple, uncooked frosting is great on this cake. Combine 1 teaspoon of butter, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 teaspoon of corn syrup and 11/2 tablespoons of boiling water in a large bowl. Add 11/2 cups confectioners' sugar and beat, adding a few drops of water, until mixture is of spreading consistency.
