A pizza party doesn’t just mean pepperoni! One year, Grandma treated me to a pizza dessert for my birthday.

Ingredients

Serves 8

  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 (15-ounce) package refrigerated piecrusts (1 crust)
  • 1 (13-ounce) jar creamy chocolate-hazelnut spread
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
Directions
  1. 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Place the coconut and walnuts on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, 5–7 minutes. Set aside. Increase oven temperature to 450°F.

  2. 2

Meanwhile, unfold the piecrust as directed on the package. Place on an ungreased 12-inch round pizza pan. Prick the crust all over with a fork, spacing the holes about 1/2 inch apart, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Bake until lightly browned, 10–12 minutes.

  3. 3

Cover the crust with the chocolate-hazelnut spread to within 1/2 inch of the edge. Sprinkle with the semisweet chips, milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, toasted nuts and toasted coconut. Gently press the toppings into the crust. Cover and refrigerate until set, about 15 minutes. Cut into wedges and serve.

Grandma's Secret Tip

Grandma's Secret Tip

If you’d like to write a celebratory message on this dessert pizza, place a coffee can lid gently on the center of the pizza after topping with the chocolate-hazelnut spread. Sprinkle the toppings on the pizza, then remove the lid and pipe a message in the center of the pizza.
