When ever I make this recipe people think I spend a long time to make it, but it is one of the easiest and delicious recipes. It's one of our favorites! Enjoy! Instead of the chocolate syrup, I use cocoa powder, and add one cap full of vanilla to the whipped cream when its about half way whipped. I like to make mine very chocolatey and use Hazelnut instant coffee to add extra flavor too. its better when made a day or two ahead of when you want to serve it. :)

Grandma's Secret Trick

Grandma's Secret Trick

Grandma had a quick and easy method for getting the best whipped cream every time: She placed the bowl and beaters in the freezer for about 20 minutes before pouring the cream into the bowl and beating it. That cut several minutes off the time it took to whip the cream, and, since the cream whipped faster when cold, Grandma was also ensuring against overbeating, which gives the whipped cream a grainy texture.
