Ingredients

Serves 6 

  • 1 (6-ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Small ice cubes
Directions
  1. 1

    Combine orange juice concentrate, water, milk, vanilla and sugar in the container of a blender or food processor.

    Process mixture until smooth and well blended.

  3. 3

    With motor running, add ice cubes, 1 at a time, until mixture reaches top of container.

  4. 4

    Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Grandma's Secret Tip

If Grandma had orange sherbet, she used it instead of the orange juice concentrate. She used 1 cup of sherbet and not as much sugar, or even omitted the sugar altogether, whichever suited her taste that day.
