Ingredients

 

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped red onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 cup beef consume'
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Maggi
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups prepared mashed potatoes w/butter
Directions

    Place the beef and onion in a 10-inch skillet. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and the onion is tender, about 5 minutes.

    Stir the garlic into the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 30 seconds. Mix the corn starch into the consume' until dissolved. Stir in the consume until the mixture is thickened.

    Stir the sour cream, mushrooms, Maggi, salt and pepper into the skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer until the flavors are blended, 5–10 minutes. Place 3/4 cup mashed potatoes on each of 4 serving plates. Top each with one-fourth of the gravy. Serve immediately.
